Agreement

These terms are between you and Hanabi, the operator of Monkeep. By using the app or this website you accept them. How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy.

What Monkeep is

Monkeep helps you understand your own spending from statements and entries you provide. It is an informational budgeting tool. It is not a bank, and it does not give financial, tax, legal or investment advice. It does not connect to your bank or move money.

Figures are only as complete as what you give it. Where coverage is incomplete, Monkeep tries to show that.

Your account

You sign in with Google or Apple, where available. Keep your device and sign-in secure, and tell us if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your content and documents

Your records are yours. You allow Hanabi to store and process them so the service can work, including sending content to the AI provider when you consent.

Upload only documents you are entitled to use. If a statement is password-protected, use only a password you are allowed to use.

Review what AI and OCR produce

Statement reading, receipt scanning and the assistant can make mistakes. Their results are drafts. Check amounts, dates and categories before you confirm, and do not rely on Monkeep alone for decisions that matter.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

• use Monkeep unlawfully or to process data you have no right to;
• overload the service, access private data without permission, or try to get around its usage limits or security;
• upload malicious files;
• access another person's account or records.

Usage limits apply to some features, such as statement processing and AI.

Plans and purchases

Paid features are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, with RevenueCat handling the purchase in the app. The store shows the price, billing period, any free trial, taxes and eligibility before you buy, and its terms apply to the purchase.

• Renewal and cancelling. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel in your store account settings.
• Restore. Use Restore purchases in the app on a new device or after reinstalling.
• Refunds. The store handles them under its own policy.
• Trials and offers. A free trial or discount is available only if the store shows it to you, and you are eligible. Nothing here guarantees one.

Paid access covers the features and limits described when you buy. We may change plans for future purchases and will communicate material changes to an existing subscription. Your rights under applicable law and the store terms still apply.

Availability and changes

Monkeep depends on third-party services and may be unavailable or change. When a feature cannot work, the app should say so. We may update, limit or remove features.

Ending use

You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend access if you break these terms or put the service or other people at risk.

Limits of responsibility

Monkeep is provided as is, without promises that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, Hanabi is not liable for indirect losses or for decisions you make using Monkeep's figures. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited by agreement.

Changes and contact
